Scuba Diving & Snorkeling

Underwater Scuba is the best place to call for this. They will teach you how to scuba dive in a swimming pool and then take you on a dive in the ocean on the next day. Or you can snorkel with a group of other visitors to Manzanillo. You can also rent equipment if you are a certified diver. Call for more information, they speak English. Susan Dearing is the owner, the phone number is from USA 011-52-333-30642

Boat Rentals

If you are interested in renting a boat for cruising or fishing, you can call Sam and Marilyn Short at 335-0605, their boats are safe, but less the luxurious, they also speak English. Their price begins at $185.00 for 5 hours on a 26’ cruiser. Our preference is to go to Las Hadas Marina and walk around and look for a boat crew that is cleaning or talk to the harbormaster and find a boat this way. Las Hadas is gated, but just say "marina se renta barco" and they will normally let you in. You want to set this up the day before you are interested in going out. If the boat is nice and about 38 feet or more you can make offer starting at $250.00 US for about 6-8 hours. These boats rent for usually $400.00 to $1,000.00 USD per day or more. If you just want to go for a boat ride, you can walk along the beach towards the airport about 2 miles to the very end of the beach. There you can rent a "ponga" for about $20 to $30 per hour for a sightseeing tour or they may also have fishing poles on board so you can fish.
