I am the Uncle of Peter and Zia Lee, whose wedding was on April 22, 2004.
I did not stay at the Chateau Manzanillo. While the ambiance of the Chateau Manzanillo is superior, it was the people there that we will also fondly remember. Maria is an excellent host, and an exceptional cook. Maria's daughters were very nice. I did not think dinner could improve after the first night. They did. Each dinner continued to meet the high standard established at the first dinner.
Frederico was excellent too. At the airport and the ride to the Chateau Manzanillo, Frederico projects the high quality of what will be experienced. I spent time with Frederico, Peter having him drive me back to my hotel each night. I cannot say enough good things about Frederico.
The Chateau Manzanillo, Maria and her daughters, and Frederico made the experience one of those things that, when asked, you are going to have to tell people words alone are unable to adequately describe the experience. The Chateau Manzanillo is something that has to experienced in person.

I hope your trip home went as well as ours even though going home wasn't what I wanted to do. I guess we've got to face reality sooner or later (I prefer later). I still can't get over what a wonderful trip we all had. What with the perfect weather, beautiful home and terrific staff, what more could a person ask for???
I have been spending a fair amount of time daydreaming, no excuse me, THINKING about what you asked regarding small improvements to the house, service, etc.. I really can't think of anything you need to do unless of course, you guys want to supply the booze for the guests! That'd be great. Nah, that wouldn't work. You'd go broke. Oh well.
Maria. She is as much a part of what made our trip special as Daniel is. We're missing her cooking pretty damn bad. Tamales sound REAL good (you ever notice how things always seem to taste better in Mexico?) right about now.

Well I've returned from a wonderful trip. I just can't stop talking about the home, and the nice stay I had. The weather turned out to be great, the beaches were delightful, and I walked my feet off (by choice). The help at the house was terrific, and made sure we had everything I mentioned. I couldn't believe that everything I requested was in the room and refrigerator. The home is set up sooooo nicely. I'm looking forward to another stay, and hopefully we'll be able to use the main house. I can't believe that this happened all because of bumping into you at a Sushi restaurant. Thanks again.

I just wanted to write a quick note to say what a terrific week we all had in Manzanillo. You have a beautiful home and Maria and Federico were nothing short of amazing. Alma and the gardner were also wonderful, but we didn't have quite as much contact with them. This last week was by far the most relaxing vacation I have had, mostly thanks to the amazing service of both Maria and Federico. Hopefully we weren't too lazy or picky for them. Again, thank you for being so available with all our questions over the last 18 months since we booked the Chateau and what an amazing place you have.
